Civil War,Spanish American War, WWI, Pre WWII Officers Sterling Ring Military. Officers Ring (size 9) Sterling stamped 10th Infantry Regiment New York National Guard, VERY OLD, VERY, VERY RARE. One side has an Eagle with wings spread and U.S. below that. The other has an Eagle with wings spread and a sheild with stars & stripes below him. The 10th was active from: 1860-1899 Activated as the 177th New York Volunteer Infantry in 1862. 1905-1917 Activated as the 51st Pioneer Army 1918-1919. 1922-1940 Activated as the 106th Infantry of the 27th Division in 1940-1945. The Unit has Silver Battle Rings on their Unit Banner Engraved as follows:On the National Color.-- McGilips Ferry, La., January 6, 1863; Ponchatoula, La., March 24, 1863; Mc Gill's Ferry, La., March 24, 1863; Civique's Ferry, La., March 25, 1863; Amite River, La., May 10 and 11, 1863; Port Hudson, La., May 23 to July 8, 1863; Spanish-American War, 1898; Hawaii, 1898.On the State Color Helderbergs, 1865; West Albany, 1877; Buffalo , 1892; Albany , 1901.
