This is a 12 lb Bormann fused Caseshot artillery shell that is unique in that it split exactly in half when it exploded. I have placed the correct Bormann fuse which is in such good condition that you can see several of the numbers on the face of the fuse. Also below the bormann fuse is the correct iron center plug. These two fuses set perfectly in the half section of the shell. And I was also able to include a large number of the correct lead caseshot balls. This unique display shows the complete inner workings of a 12 lb Bormann Caseshot artillery shell cannon ball. It measures 4.62 inches in diameter.
