Total of EIGHT covers from the Jack Molesworth stock, F/VF. His marked value over $1000.00. Some Confederates, a couple to Alexander Stephens, two US #26 ms "old stamps," a Walnut Grove, GA cover (1861 ?) docketing - "what do you think of the administration of Lincoln in the crisis of country," cover to Col. Lamar. Scanner cut off right side on scan #1 and #4. Worth a bid. Winner adds $3.00 postage, add $2.00 for insurance.

Here is some more information on these covers-

1. The first cover which is a ms 20 PAID to Hon. A. H. Stephens has docketing on back- M. Smith, Monroe, Geo Jan. 18th, 1862.

2. The second cover addressed to Col.John B. Lamar comes with a complete short letter that is dated December 1861

3. Cover #3 - Confederate Handstamp Paid, Cassville, GA Paid 5 - Woodcut in blue color to a military address. Confederate.

4. Walnut Grove, GA cover with ms canceled US #26 (used in the Confederacy). Had to have been used in 1861 when Lincoln was President (Lincoln not President in 1860). Would not be 1862 because this stamp would not have been recognized. The writing on front says, "what do you think of the administration of Lincoln in the crisis of coronation

5. Cover #5 - US#26 (uncanceled) used on a VF appearing cover with "Old Stamp" written by postmaster in pen. Very scarce. Molesworth had this one priced at $500

6. Cover #6 is a glazed small cover (with fancy design back) To Mrs J. S. Mayfield, Dalton, GA. It was sent from 42nd GA Reg. Company G - "Mail Direct."

7. Cover #7 "Due 3" h/s with uncanceled US #26 - old stamp not recognized

8. The last cover addressed to Alexander Stephens VP with usual reverse docketing and missing backflap - Washington, GA - PAID 5 which was revalued in ink to "10" in the restored area at top of cds.
