Civil War Living Historians, dont miss out on these ORIGINAL Victorian Ladies FANS. The first one is a nice large one, made of white lace and painted paper with painted wooden blades, the flowers on the paper are probably hand painted. This is the real thing ladies, very pretty fan in very good usable condition. Every lady of the time period had a fan, I am told t was a very definite language of the fan which signaled intentions to potential suitors. The wooden Blades are Very solid and usable, the paper is very solid and could be used as intended. Although this would pass for Civil War it may be better suited ofr other Victorian reenactments, Living History event or SASS Cowboy Action Shooters. Measures 16" wide when spread, blades are 9 1/2" long.

The second is little smaller, Made of black paper, hand painted, wooden blades, measures 8 1/2" blades and 15" across when opened up. Third fan is pink hand painted paper, measuring 15" opened with 8 1/2" wooden blades. All three of these fans are solid and very unsable and functional. Fold up nicely and open in the one handed "spread" action of the day.

My wife has been "collecting" these fans for years but would only buy them if they were solid enough to be used. She has used these, some extensively, others not so much. Space has forced her to decide to part with some of her fans. Ladies, watch my items for several more of these very usable, very important part of the Civil War, Victorian or Old West impression.
