All in nice condition with strong contrast and crisp focus, this Civil War period CDV offers a collage of one-hundred of the leading and best known female theatrical personalities of the time. They include such notables of the day as Maggie Mitchell, Miss. Lola Montez who died at the height of stage and touring career in 1861(for whom the phrase "Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets" was coined). Also appearing among the 100 identified portraits is the image of Miss Laura Keene who appeared in the female lead of Our Country Cousin at Fords Theater the knight Lincoln was assassinated. (see our enlarged image of the key for a complete listing of personalities) A scarce collectable for the period theatrical enthusiast and a nice addition to any Civil War photography or personal grouping. please note: ALL ITEMS ARE CURRENT & AVAILABLE UNLESS MARKED SOLD!!.
