CivilWar CDV and Tintype Photos Named E.H.Clapp 4 Regiment Massachusettes Volunteer Heavy Artillery.--------------------You are bidding on lot of 2 photos. The Carte de Visite's and Tintype photographs listed are from the same album.Not sure who owned the album.Most are named and identified.The photo CDV album is listed aswell in another auction as some more cdv/tintype photos from Civil War. The photos are named to Private E.H.Clapp.4th Regiment Massachusettes Volunteer Heavy Artillery.Not much information on this unit on the internet.Union Heavy Artillery. The Child cdv is in nice condition.Has some light corner dings.The back is marked"T.Clapp.' The picture is nice.The young boy is wearing a stylized civilwar uniform in light colour with dark leg stripes and french style darkpiped cuff.Interesting photo. The tintype photo is okay condition.Has some ripples to plate.small area on lower right has been worn away.Im not sure which man in photo is E.H.Clapp but im assuming its the younger man. Both men in photo are wearing uniforms.The men have naval style peak caps on.The older man has a large oval badge on front of the hat.The younger man has single breasted tunic,the older man has doublebreasted tunic.They both have some form of insignia on their collars. Great item for further research.No maker marks to photos. Great item read more
