Illustrations and calligraphy by Tom Lord. This item is part of an extensive collection and is offered for sale by the James Lyons Trust, Frank E. Bysfield Trustee. Jim was born during the depression in southern California and served in the Air Force from 1947 – 1954. For twenty years he worked as an Outdoor Recreation Planner for the National Park Service at both State and Federal levels. He was the first State Planner in North Dakota and later moved to Maryland, continuing in this line of work while on the side he had a radio show and for a time was the Editor of Tail Gate Ramblings for PRJC (The Potomac River Jazz Club).
