A beautifylly handpainted embossed Clarice Cliff design which is from the 'My Garden' range of the 1930s. Covered by the Bizarre reference, this good sized water pitcher has an embossed handle with stylized flowers, lilac foliage all set on a green coloured glaze. It measures 7.5 inches (19 cms) in height and is in excellent condition. There are no chips, nibbles etc. To the base of the jug there is one very small area of underglaze paint missing. It is backstamped as Bizarre by Clarice Cliff - Wilkinson Ltd., England. It is shape number 677 dating it to the 1930s. I can provide further photos if required.
