Victorian baskets filled with flowers decorate these 3 pieces of red transfer-ware plates and platter. A nice and unusual design. Platter measures approx. 12" x 9 1/4", each plate measures approx. 10" across. No chips, cracks, or damage. T is crazing on all three pieces. The one shown with the mark on the back has darkened on the back. The other two have not darkened. Crazing are small, short lines in the glaze that look like cracks but are not. This is a sign of age in a lot of old china and glazed pieces. I did not detect any real hairlines at all. These are very nice examples of transfer-ware. The mark on the back says: Charlotte; Engraved from original drawings by F. Cotts designer circa 1830; Reproduced in Royal Staffordsire Dinnerware; Burslem. England.; Clarice Cliff. I estimate the age pre-1940. T are kiln marks on the back of each. Very nice.
