6 lovely rare CLARICE CLIFF hand painted TRESCO pattern, 9" x 7 3/4" shallow bowls, a variation of the RHODANTHE DESIGN.One bowl has light crazing and the rest are in good condition,no cracks or chips. These bowls were produced 1934-36,according to Leonard Griffin the Chairman of the CCCC in March 1997, after I had submitted photos to him. I have 27pieces of this TRESCO set left and I have included a pic of the whole set(Note: both Tureens and the jug have been sold). Underneath all items is inscribed - The Biarritz, Royal Staffordshire England, Great Britain, Hand Painted, Bizarre, Wilkinson Ltd, England. Clarice Cliff china have become very popular and valuable over the last few years, especially pieces produced prior to 1940. The TRESCO Pattern is considered by some collectors, to be rarer, and more collectible than the original Rhodanthe Design.
