This is a fine example of a classic U. S. trilobite, Eldredgeops milleri , from the famous Silica Shale deposits of Ohio . The trilobite is almost perfectly prone and well articulated lying next to a partially enrolled specimen of the same. The large, compound eyes are very well defined with the honeycomb of individual lenses highly visible. The pustulose glabella is prominently displayed, and the texture of the thick-shelled exoskeleton is very nice. These trilobites have a natural, rich brown coloration that contrasts nicely with the light grey matrix. Measuring nearly 2 inches long. Matrix measures 3 ½ x 6 ½ x 1 ¼ inches.
