This elegant, solid golden brown mahogany cabinet (the backing is not solid mahogany) is highlighted with simple, bold solid brass fittings. It is a great example of a custom made cabinet that is highly versatile in function bridging traditional Japanese and modern design, featuring ample storage space. The 1960s Japanese built cabinet has a solid brass front door pull that translates in Japanese to "Happiness." (Reference: Namiko Abe, Your Guide to the Japanese language) The piece compliments modern, Asian, eclectic groupings, or can act as a stand alone piece in an entryway. (Small imperfections in the wood must be expected in a piece of this age.) _____________________________________________________________________ *Overall Size: 4'2" long, 1'9" deep front to back, 3'2 & ½" tall. *Functions/applications: Originally built as an entertainment center to house the central piece of a stereo system.
