Classic Service Ghurka Khukuri kukuri with Brass The Gurkhas, on of the most successful mercenary groups the world has ever seen, have brought fame to this knife, their traditional weapon of choice: the Khukuri. Not only is this a formidable weapon, but it is also a knife-of-all-work, serving to chop wood, slice vegetables, skin animals, cut grass, etc. This is a well made Khukuri of classic pattern, with beautiful solid brass detail work. T are solid lines of brass through the handle, a smooth brass cover over the pommel, and brass nail heads through the wood and full tang. It is a big 17" overall. The Blade is Carbon steel a foot long and 1/4 inch thick at the back edge! The handle is wood. The sheath is a heavy brown leather over wood with a brass "toe" and loops with brass buttons to attach to a belt. It has the two traditional small knives, Karda and Chakmak, and sleeves in the sheath to hold them. All knives are not sharp as shipped but can be sharpened. New, no problems.
