This auction is for a complete, solid, 15-cent cover-priced copy of Classics Illustrated #84 (The Gold Bug & other stories by Edgar Allen Poe), published by Gilberton & printed in June, 1951. The OWL (Overstreet Whiteness Level scale 0-10) is 8 to 9. Comic is complete. There is no writing on the covers or inside pages. There are no tape repairs, no water staining/damage, no detached pages, & no brittleness. Comic lays flat with no spine roll. All covers & pages are firmly attached to their staples. The grade on this comic (HRN 85, edition 1) is vg-. Current book value on this comic is $ 27 .50 . Please look over my scans carefully. I have invested some time into making decent scans you may even be able to magnify with your browser for a better look. As a buyer, I do not like when a seller only posts one scan & expect buyers to be able to ascertain what grade a comic is. Why would sellers not post at least 2 scans (front & back covers) when ebay pictures are free in this category? The usually white back cover margins tell you alot about the grade of the comic because soiling is easy to detect on them. The only reason I am not an ebay Ttop Rrated Sseller is because I do not sell an average of $1,000.00 per month. I will ship this comic for free inside USA only.
