This auction is for a beautiful lot of vintage sterling silver jewelry. 12 pieces in all, with NO RESERVE!!First, t is a pair of square, pierced earrings with what appears to be black & white inlaid onyx in bezel setting. These dramatic earrings would go with just about anything. They measure 1.25 inches tall by 1 inch wide. They weigh 23.20 grams together.Next, t is a little sterling burro pin with inlaid pau shell. Theshell needs a bit of tlc in some areas, but it is barely noticeable when you stand back from it. It measures about 1 1/8th inches high at the highest point, and about 1.25 inches wide at the widest point. It weighs 2.60 grams.The next item is a pair of pierced sterling scrollwork earrings. They measure 2 inches long by 1.25 inches wide at the widest point. They weigh 11.70 grams together. The next item is a thin band with channel set stones that appear to be yellow topaz and diamonds, though I have no idea if they are real. The band is slightly bent, but appears to be able to be bent back easily enough. It is a size 7.5 and weighs 1.90 grams. The next item is a sterling, turquoise and onyx ring. The center stone measures 7.5 mm by 4.5 mm and the onyx stones measure approximately 6 mm by 6 mm. It measures 12.5 mm at the widest point. I'm not sure if t are stones missing, or if the designer of the ring intended the two blank spots on the sides of the ring, so I'll let you be the judge of that. It is substantial, and weighs 8.20 grams. It is a size 8. The next item is a sterling three layer design enamel ring, size 7. It measures 11.5 mm wide at the widest point, and weighs 5.20 grams. Next, a dramatic sterling & black onyx slider pendant (It would go great with the black & white earrings!). It measures 1.25 wide at the widest point, and about 1 1/8th inch tall including the bail. The onyx cabachon measures 17mm by 13mm. It weighs 13.70 grams. Next is a beautifully made turquoise and sterling ring. It is a size 10, and very substantial. It measures a large 26.5 mm wide at the widest point, and features an engraved design on the sides. Inside t is a designer mark that looks like marks I've seen on Native American jewelry, though the history is not known on this item. It looks like "RK". The ring weighs 19.20 grams. Next, t's a very pretty sterling and turquoise triangular pendant that measures 1.25 high not including the large bail, by 1.25 inches across. The nice large bail is 1/2 inch tall. The stone measures 21mm across by 18.5mm tall. It weighs 12.20 grams. And now, for the piece you've been waiting patiently for. The largest piece in this large collection of jewelry is the green turquoise (at least I believe that is what the stone is!) pendant. The green is a dramatic lime green that you just don't see very often in jewelry. This gorgeous sterling pendant measures 3 and one eighth inches tall including the large bail. It is 1 3/8 inches wide at the widest point, with the oh-so pretty stone measuring 40mm tall by about 29.5 mm wide. The smaller stone is no piddly little stone, either, measuring 13.5 mm by 9.5 mm. The bail measures about .75 wide at the top, and a little over an inch tall. What an amazing piece!! It weighs a whopping 35.30 grams! All in all, this lot weighs 133.20 grams. That's close to 4.7 ounces. At close to $15 per ounce, the silver alone is worth $70. I'm sure you'll agree that these items are worth a lot more than the melting value, so I'm starting this auction just a little bit above the melting value.
