I am offering this wonderful realistically hand carved and painted basswood sculpture of 2 lifesize birds mounted on driftwood. These birds are native to West Virginia with the driftwood from West Virginia lakes. It is signed on the bottom "C. Kemper - 76- Cox's Mills, West Virginia". It measures 12 inches across by 9 inches high by 5 inches deep. The condition of this carving is very good. It is dusty, but with no damage. It was found on a high shelf in a local home, where it has been enjoyed for many years. It is my understanding that Claude Kemper returned to his native West Virginia holler after his retirement to pursue his love of carving indigenous birds. His carvings were in great demand with a waiting list for his works continuing after his death. Thanks for looking! *NOTICE TO INTERNATIONAL BUYERS* I am happy to sell to international buyers.
