Please Scroll Below for Larger Image Landscape - Pastoral Runic Sunset. 82 Information: This delightful mezzotint after Claude Lorrain’s paintings is from the work Liber Veritatis; or, A collection of prints after the original designs of Claude le Lorrain; in the collection of His Grace the Duke of Devonshire. Executed by Richard EArlom, in the manner and taste of the drawings. This work was published in London by John Boydell and Hurst, Robinson & Co. between 1777 and 1819.Richard Earlom, a respected master of mezzotint, created the engravings. John Boydell, the publisher, was also renowned for the many revered works he completed in the late 1700s. Claude Lorrain is credited as a leader in elevating landscape painting as an esteemed art form. Guarantee: This print is an original antique print and not a modern reproduction.
