Brand new in the classic red box Sorry no the romance card HCB 101 This is one of the early pieces from The Hollywood Collection that is no longer being offered CLAUDETTE COLBERT Nominated three times for Academy Awards, Claudette Colbert was a unique talent, and her films demonstrate a wide range, from screwball comedies to costume dramas to "three-hankie weepies." When Paramount loaned Claudette Colbert to Columbia to make Frank Capra's " It Happened One Night " with Clark Gable, she was not happy. For one thing, it was a minor screwball comedy, as opposed to the costume epics she'd been making at Paramount. She won the Academy Award that year (1934) for Best Actress, the film won for Best Picture, Clark Gable for Best Actor and she was at the train station when the Oscar's were announced. In " Bluebeard's Eighth Wife ", Gary Cooper clearly didn't know what hit him. In that film she is wearing an incredible diamond and emerald bracelet-ring set. Look for the matching ring size 6 in my other items.
