This is a cleat from the Ostwind, Hitler's sailing yacht from World War II, which was used mostly by top officers from the third Reich. J J Nelson gave me this cleat when I did a feasiblity study for a marina he was developing on the Trout River in Jacksonville, Florida. J J ran a marine salvage business and got the Ostwind in a salvage claim, then donated it to the City of Miami Beach w it was sunk in a symbolic ceremony. The cleat is very heavy, made from teak and iron (I think) and about the size of a loaf of bread. I am a retired professor, Ph.D. Texas A&M and will sign an affadavit certifying w I got it. Also, it can be returned without question. Call me at (Nauvoo, Illinois), if you wish.
