Album This is a vintage Clifford Russell sterling silver and gemstone pin , for sale to the high bidder. Please see my eBay store and my other listings for more silver items. This beautiful large dimensional pin features various sealife on a smooth disk, with a small green stone and a larger aqua stone. There is a starfish, some eelgrass and seaweed and perhaps a squid. The back is marked "Sterling Handmade Russell". Clifford Russell lived in Woolwich, Maine, and is widely known for his jewelry with marine and nautical themes. You can scroll down to see more photos.

This collectible pin measures 1 3/4" across, and weighs a substantial .6 oz (18 gr) on my little scale. The larger stone has a very small shallow chip on one side, and a straight line that looks like a natural flaw to me. These things are only visible from unnaturally close. Otherwise, this lovely piece is in very good condition, with normal signs of use and some tarnish. There are no dings, dents or bends, and the safety clasp is in good working order. The dark areas you see are reflections from my camera. For silver jewelry, antique sterling and interesting antique and vintage items, please see my other auctions.
