Up for grabs as part of a gear re-shuffle is a CLM Dynamics DB8000s 8 channel mic pre with built in limiters and digital card. These are great preamps that were only built for a short time, made in Scotland. This one has seen some action, but sounds great and I have used it both live and in the studio for many years with fantastic results, the built in limiters are very useful for drummers and vocalist when they surprise you and the MS encoding function (please read the manual for more details) has been great when doing acoustic instruments and classical recording. Each channel has Mic or instrument in, 66db gain, a 20db pad, phantom power, M&S function, Limiter with Fast/Slow option, Phase and Low Cut switches, so really very versatile! This unit has the ADAT digital card with it, this gives not only an ADAT output at 44.1 or 48 Khz and a word clock input, but another set of outputs on DSUB, again, please read the manal to see what the different outputs do, as there are 3 per channel! There are a few switch caps missing, and possible a few will need replacing on the back, there is also a fix that needs doing which I never got round to. These units are built with Odd and Even channels to compensate for the MS encoding function, on this unit, Channel 5 is actually a channel 8 card from stock (as it came from studio exchange originally)
