This is an antique clock movement which is very old but not being an expert I cannot date it other than its pre 1900 as its been in my family since before this. The clock movement was seperated from its case for servicing but then the case was left behind in a house move ! The movement was serviced and it has been in storage since. Due to my lack of knowledge about clocks I have no realistic chance I putting this lovely clock back into a suitable case hence i have decided to sell it to someone who hopefully can ? The maker of this clock is Josh Lester of Sturminster. It has a single hand and is from the service receipt a 30 hour movement. It was cleaned, polished pivots, re ground pallets, adjusted, oiled and run in in 1997. The dial was also restored & lacquered. The cost of this service was £243 by Vale Clocks in Denbigh ( Receipt) The face is 25cm square and the depth is about 14cm. Conditions :- UK bidders posted to UK addresses only.
