WESTMINSTER CHIMES CLOCK MOVEMENT - COMPLETE with EXTRAS - WESTERN GERMANY - P.L. 21 cm - 8 81 - KEY- WIND TYPE 's another great estate sale find - an older clock movement that has never been used, but comes complete, ready to install. The box includes: The Clock Movement - appx 7-1/2" x 6" x 4" Clock Face - Colonial - 8-1/2" square Hands and Other Hardware Pendulum - 2-5/8" diameter, 1-1/2" stem Wind-Up Key I cannot date it, but the newspaper it was wrapped in is from 1986. The only identification I can find are the markings on the movement "Janch P.L. 21 cm - Western Germany - 8 81" The small plastic bag holding the hands and other hardware is stamped LaRose - 234 commerce Place, Greensboro, NC. I attempted to contact this company by email and phone, but was unsuccessful. My research is not conclusive, but indicates that this movement may be for a large wall clock. If this is correct, it retails for somew between $189 and $239. The complete clock movement, hands, pendulum and hardware are new, and in excellent condition. It is gold-colored, and all of the parts move well from what I can see. If you are in to clock repair, clock making, or have an older clock case that needs the movement replaced, then you surely want to look this beautiful piece over and place a bid.
