Introducing Gorgo's Aphrodite a Custom Model Horse by Sheri Tarter 2007. Gorgo is a deep rich black bay inspired by the movie 300. "Gorgo's Aphrodite, a filly truely fit for a queen." Gorgo is my first custom model Breyer horse. She is a modified "warmblood" mold with custom main, tail, feathers, carved hoofs and genitalia. Long time model horse collector but brand new customizer, I do not expect her to be LSQ, I do think however that she may be excellent PSQ. Either way I can make no promises regarding that. What I can promise is that she was created with care and love and I'm sure she would make an excellent addition to a collectors collection. Gorgo was painted with a base coat of acrylics and then overlaid with pastels, finally sprayed with 3 coats of matte sealer to protect her new finish. Her hooves, nostrils and eyes are glossed. Gorgo's base was created out of "Sculpy" clay and then hand painted with acrylics. The base is seamed and will separate into two sections, a single section without a jump and the combined base creates a little jump scene with a scenic stone wall, cobble stones, mud, dried grass and greenery. My hope is that I have created a functional base for both display purposes and performance photos. Thank you for looking and happy bidding!
