UKBUS6018 represents fleet number 4766 (BV57 XKK) that was new in January 2008. National Express West Midlands, part of the National Express Group, operates ADL Enviro 400 buses on its 993 route between Birmingham City Centre and Streetly. The route is operated in partnership with Centro, the West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive. The model shown is fleet number 4766 which is based at the Perry Barr depot. It is replicated in the new National Express West Midlands livery but with the interim fleet name that incorporates the stylised “WM” logo previously used for the Travel West Midlands identity. 4766 is fitted with a leather seated interior, an air chill system and a driver operated safety guard in the wheelchair area for passenger safety. The bus is also fitted with Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) tracking equipment and a digital CCTV system for customer safety. 4766 also carries the all-white roof colour as noted on the batch of buses 4763 – 4767 instead of half and half red and white that was used on some of the earlier and on the later buses in the 2008 deliveries of Enviro 400s.
