A.W.Co. WALTHAM 15 JEWEL POCKET WATCH GOLD SCREW CASE c1898 This superb Waltham pocket watch has the 15 jewelled movement and is working well. The English Made, gold filled case is has screwed front and rear and is in very god condition. The watch dates from around 1898. The gold filled case is in very good condition with no dings or dents and with just a small scratch on the bezel at 8 o’clock. It measures 50mm in diameter and 15mm deep. The rear cover is marked internally with the case serial number and the 5 year guarantee for the gold plates. The synthetic watch glass is clear and unmarked. The white enamel dial is very clean with no hairlines, chips or cracks, it is signed A.W.W.Co – Waltham Mass. The 15 jewelled, lever movement is very clean and working well. It is signed Am. Watch Co – Waltham Mass and carries the serial number 8926049. This dates the watch to around 1898. It is wound and set by the crown. Please refer to the photographs for more detail. Please appreciate that the magnified images show detail much greater than would be visible with the naked eye. Any dark patches or marks on the highly polished surfaces are almost certainly reflections of my camera.
