Classic beauty, Fenton's Persian Medallion Ruffled Bowl in Cobalt! Wonderful colorful matte multi-colored iridescence over the whole piece. This is older Fenton carnival production, circa 1911. Gently ruffled bowl is 8.5" across, and stands 2 3/8" tall. T is so much detail to this bowl, both color and pattern, but, regrettably, postcard photos just don't do it justice! Now, if this imaginative piece were put on an IMAX screen, the pattern and color would appear as Stained Glass!! Whoa! Please note: as always, all our glass photos are taken in sunlight. T is no coloring re-touch of photos, or trick or colorized lighting involved in the photography. "Whatyouseeiswhatyouget". Rim is unusual: t is a bit of a scallop to the sawtooth edge. Three teeth are pulled out to be more prominent, two teeth are shorter, et al, all the way around. No chips, no nicks! Detailed patterned is a wonderful strike - the outline of the medallions appear as distinct embroidery stitching; just gorgeous! The only interior wear occurs on a couple of curlicue "knobs" that rim center medallion, barely worth mentioning. Collar base is perfect: no chips, no cracks, no damage. Mold lines from manufacture are felt but meet smoothly. Few bubbles, and fewer straw marks. Lustrous iridescence is magnificently even over the whole piece, both interior AND exterior! The rich Fenton cobalt base glass another wonderful plus! Bowl is unmarked. No Reserve - Best Luck Bidding!! This is old glass - one would expect to find bubbles, impurities in the glass, scratches and mold lines, etc - none of these reasons are grounds for returns-for-refund. We thank you for your bid.
