Hand Made Coca Cola Can Stearman Model Airplane

NO RESERVE!

You are bidding on a Hand Made Coca Cola Classic Can Model Airplane. This plane was made by artists Chuck and Georgia Riedy of Eureka, California in the early 1990's. This plane was a scale model of the Stearman Bi-plane, hand made of 72 pieces from 15 Coca Cola Classic aluminum cans. The landing gear was made of coat hanger wire and rubber wheels. The dimensions are 14 1/4" wingspan, 4 1/2" high and 10" long.

This will make a Great Gift for your favorite Coca Cola or Airplane enthusiast!

The plane is finished on all sides and beautifully laid out in a symmetrical pattern to best demonstrate the Coca Cola Classic logos on each section of the chassis, wings, tail and even the propeller! The wings are even embossed to replicate the texture of fabric used on planes of that era. The wheels and propeller are operable. Please look at the photos below.

One of Riedy's planes made of Dad's Root Beer cans was featured at the California Museum in Oakland, California and in museums in Los Angeles and Barcelona, Spain as a fine example of American Folk Art. are links to that exhibition:
