This auction is for the very first Metalcraft Coca Cola Truck - 1928 Model . The Metalcraft name stamped on the chassis of the truck. This is the 1928 version (the first Coke truck) which features the white metal tires. The 1931 model had the rubber tires . This truck was designed by the Metalcraft designer who worked for the firm from 1931-36. He designed all of the Metalcraft Coca-Cola trucks issued by Metalcraft n this time period - this being the first he worked on. The truck is 11" long and 6 1/2" high. What a treasured collectible - Coca-Cola is such an American icon. It is unlikely you will ever find this model vintage Coca-Cola truck in nicer condition. The original owner had it professionally restored to near perfection. The work was not done by some amateur hobbyist. You will be thrilled with the condition of this truck. Don't mistake my low starting bid and no reserve for value. In my research I've learned similar trucks have sold in the $1200 - $1400 range. Bid early and don't miss your opportunity for a bargain. Even years ago when it was professionally restored, it has an old card with it declaring a value of $1000. Beautiful condition!
