For auction is this 8 gallon stoneware crock marked: "COFFEYVILLE POTTERY & CLAY CO. - COFFEYVILLE KAN" inside a sunflower pattern with the number "8" above it. It's hard to find any history on this company, but appears to have been in business in the late 1800's to the early 1900's. it's in very good shape, with a couple of small chips on one of the handles, and several on the bottom edge (the noticeable one shown in picture 4 of the bottom side). I have this listed with a reserve for exact amount that I paid at auction in western Kansas, so still taking my own risk. Bid away, and thanks. E-mail me & I will send you as many close-ups as you want, and answer any questions. This crock weighs about 32 pounds, and measures 15" high X 14" dia. at the top & 13-3/8" dia. at the bottom. I will ship as a 36# package weight to deliver safely to you. It will be heavily bubble-wrapped, packed in foam peanuts, & in a strong corrugate box. Local pick-up can be arranged in Lawrence,KS, and also I travel frequently around this part of the country within a 200 mile radius if it works that we could meet up, & are maybe willing to wait a little while.
