PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER BEAUTIFUL ITEMS IN MY EBAY STORE! I am proud to offer this exceptional, early American, coin silver tea and coffee set. It is comprised of five pieces, all replete with repousse flowers that jump out at you, roccoco swirls and leaves. The stand has fine reticulated work. The set was made by the Salisbury Co. of New York in approximately 1835. Each handle has a detailed finger rest in the shape of a feather. The base of the handles is affixed to the body with a luscious, textured relief. The feet of the pieces, excepting the stand for the tea kettle, have a rococco shell relief. The stand itself has 4 shells for feet. The handle of the tea kettle has two ivory insulators. It stands upright without effort or rests comfortably to the side. Each piece bears cartouches on both sides. One of them is blank and the second is monogrammed with the initials "MHM." The set is in very good condition. The sole visible imperfection is a 1" wide depression on the side of the sugar, immediately to the left of the cartouche (see photo). The stand also is missing its burner and the handle of the coffee pot is somewhat loose, but very usable. The lid of the sugar has a couple of very minor lilts to the lip. Otherwise, the set is fabulously clean and design is wonderfully crisp. The measurements of the pieces are as follows: Tea Kettle: 12-1/2" high (to top of raised handle) and 11" to top of finial; 11" wide; Coffee Pot: 10-1/2" high; 12" wide from handle to spout; Covered Sugar: 9" high to top of cover's finial; 9" wide from handle to handle; Creamer: 8" high to top of finial and 7-1/2" from spout to handle; Stand: 5-1/2" high and 7" from one foot to the next. In total, the set weighs a combined, whopping 110 troy ounces (almost 8 pounds).
