This is a beautiful Metal Sword, hand-crafted in the city of Toledo, in Spain. It is a modern-day replica of the “Colada” sword, which was supposedly used in battle by the Cid in the XI Century A.C. The sword has a forged steel blade, engraved with ornate designs on both sides. One side is marked “Colada del Cid”, and the other one has an image of the Cid on a horse and the word “Toledo”. The overall length of the sword is 39 inches. The handle is wrapped in twisted wire and there is an ornate curled steel blade guard around the hilt. The blade is not sharpened. Overall the sword is in very good structural condition, with no missing parts, even though it has some light rust and surface scratches.
