PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION COMPLETELY, AND LOOK AT PICTURES CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING OR EMAILING QUESTIONS. THANK YOU. Offered is a Cold Steel Trailmaster bowie in AUS 6A stainless steel. This type of steel is great stuff, having better edge-holding ability than 440, but much better corrosion resistance than pure carbon steel. This knife is the older version, no longer available..having been replaced by the more expensive San Mai stainless. This bowie is about as close to indestructible as any knife you'll ever find. The 9 1/2 inch long blade is 5/16 inch thick at the guard, nearly twice the thickness you usually find, even in larger bowies. The 5 inch handle is tough Kraton rubber, permanently bonded to the tang. The 2 1/2 wide guard is 300 series stainless steel, 3/32 inch thick. Overall length is 14 1/2 inches. I bought this knife brand new a few years back and it is mint except for a few of the faintest marks on the blade from being slid in and out of the sheath to be fondled occasionally. This bowie has never been used, or carried, and it's a bit of a shame, because these knives are designed for HARD use! The original Cordura sheath is included and is like brand new.
