You are bidding on a vintage Coleco electronic table top Donkey Kong. If you are looking at this auction, then you already know what you are looking for and have already played one of these during your childhood. It is not a 'video' game like a Nintendo DS. It is a electronic blip game like the old Coleco football or baseball games popular in the late '70's. This game was cared for ridiculously well, as were all my toys from my childhood. I played the heck out of this game (and so did my dad) but never abused it. I put 4 - C batteries in it and it fired right up. And yes I played it for about half an hour because I forgot how fun it was. I built a Mame bar top arcade this past winter which I enjoyed immensely, but the CPU went out already because I bought a cheap, used one just to see if I could get one built. I also want to upgrade the cheap Chinese joystick I bought to an actual arcade rig so I am selling my beloved Donkey Kong and 5 of my pristine Stomper 4x4's to fund the new CPU and the double arcade joystick. Yes, I am long winded and I also am the original owner of this unit so you know you are getting this item from a flesh and blood 45 year old father of two instead of a warehouse in Manhattan and to make the Mrs. happy, I have to sell toys to buy more toys so that she doesn't try to put me on the show 'Hoarders'.
