Up for auction is a limited edition very hard to find print from Marian Anderson's, "Mountain Man" series she painted for the National Wild Turkey Federation to auction off at their banquets. "Ponderin" is the title of this outstanding piece of work, that depicts a Mountain Man siting in his lean to after a successful days hunt, "pondering" the hunt, or whats in store for him tomorrow, or a million other things a man thinks about while staring into the camp fire before crawling into his warm, fur blankets for the night. Marian Anderson catches every little detail in her paintings, and this print is no exception. Notice the bull horn, and leather pouch for gun pwder and such hanging from the top of the lean to. And the detail of the turkey feathers, buckskin boots, and the veins in his arms and hands.
