Collectible Caucasian - 1880s Antique Shirvan Rug - Lesghi PrayerSize: 3.6 x 4.10 ft.Dated 1302 Hijri Calendar, approximately 1884 Gregorian date.Woven by tribes in the Daghestan district, both warp and weft are of fine, brown wool, as is rarely the case with any other Caucasians rugs. Generally, prayer Daghestan rugs are much more common - which makes this a rare, collectible piece, as it is a Lesghi prayer rug - not Daghestan.Fair condition! Professionally washed and cleaned. No stains, no odor. Sides and ends original. Contains low pile and some worn ends, including a small area with prior repair work. As shown in pictures.
