This is a beautiful nativity set which depicts that even all creatures recognize and honor the birth of Christ. This set is original in its design and style of painting. Tricia paints each design in the historic art of alebrije. Alebrije is an art form still practiced today by the Indians in the Oaxacan region of Mexico. The set is then sent to be reproduced in resin. Then each dog is meticulously handpainted to match each of the Alebrije patterns. It is normal to see some variation in painting as each piece is handpainted separately. Each set depicts a specific breed of dog with beautiful, realistic detail. The Christ Child is an actual baby figurine, not a dog.
