This is an outstanding, collector quality condition, vintage 1930-1939 era, black iron, GRISWOLD #7 LARGE BLOCK / ERIE PA., U.S.A. LOGO SMOOTH BOTTOM CAST IRON SKILLET. It bears pattern number "701D". Its upper bowl rim measures 9.75" diameter and its cooking surface measures 7.75" diameter. Its inside bowl cooking surface retains its factory polished mirror slick and smooth to the touch finish. There is an extremely slight amount of downward bow when gauged with a straight edge. Like most vintage Griswold smooth bottom skillets, this pan exhibits a negligible tad of movement when placed on a flat surface...a result of its original factory manufacturing tolerances only. There are no repairs, cracks, hairline fractures, pitting, or notable warpage to contend with. It has been completely reconditioned, hand cleaned, heat darkened, and pre-seasoned with grape seed oil. It has been covered with a light coat of protective mineral oil. This mid-size, desirable Griswold cast iron skillet is ready to be put to daily use and it can be proudly displayed right from the day it is received. It will be safely packaged and shipped to any location in the United States within one business day upon receipt of secure payment.
