Beautiful Collector's Classic Limited Edition 1954 MERCURY MONTEREY HARD TOP - SUN VALLEY diecast toy handbuilt models by Buby , Buenos Aires Argentina with matching numbered Certificate of Authenticity on bottom of car and on COA. There were approximately 22,000 1954 Mercury Sun Valley Hard Top diecast cars produced from numbers 00001 to 09000 of which this one is No. 01873 according to the Certificate of Authenticity, which is also signed by Harold Mahler, Chairman. Car is in near-mint condition, no visible scratches or chips, clear plastic sun roof has a blue-green tint, dark blue rear part of the roof has light surface scuffs. All chrome parts are made of plated plastic except for the front and rear bumpers which is plated metal. The only plastic or vinyl parts are the car's windshield, partial roof, interior and tires. Box is in excellent condition also, just light storage scuff marks and a few light creases. See photographs for actual conditon of box and car. This is the last 1954 Mercury Hard Top Sun Valley with a low production number that I have so grab this one while you can. There is a 1" tear on one of the box end flap lip where it folds into the box.
