College Temple Newnan Georgia Catalogue 1884 Faculty Alumnae 1854 1888 Curriculum Here for your consideration is a vintage Catalogue of “College Temple”, Newnan, Georgia from 1884. It contains curriculum, alumnae and facts about the College. It is in fairly good condition, considering its age. The edges show signs of age and use. “College Temple was founded to educate Women and operated from 1854 to 1888. It was the first College to offer a Master of Arts degree to Women and was used in the War between the State as a hospital for wounded Confederate and Union Troops. It later opened its doors to Men. On a wall in the Male Academy Museum, is an early lithograph of the College. Two remaining building of the College still exist on College Street”. .
