The new line of Colonel Coon knives are one of the hottest new knives to come out in a very long time. Each pattern sells out almost as quickly as they are introduced. The first few patterns were strictly limited to no more than 100 total made and were etched 1 of 100. Recently, the owners of the Colonel Coon line have decided to increase production slightly due to demand. The newer patterns are not being etched with production numbers. They are however, according to the source, limiting production to no more than 200 of each pattern. This is still a very low production for such a hot collectible and will still make these a fairly rare and highly sought after item. This is the Colonel Coon CC3L Mountain Man lockback. This is one very nice, big, heavy duty knife. Knife is 4 5/8" long closed with a 3 5/8" clip blade. Stainless steel clip blade has the Colonel Coon Etch and tang stamped "Col Coon USA ". Also features nickel silver bolsters, brass pins and liner, lanyard hole, "CC" shield, lockback design and outstanding genuine toasted stag handles. The stag handles on this one are nice, thick and look fantastic. This is also the most expensive Queen Colonel Coon made to date, and with the amount of stag on it, I can see why. I don't think they made as many of this model as very few were available and this was a very hot pattern. Knife is brand new in factory box. As with all of the Col. Coon line, these will be gone fast. Past history on this line show once they sell out, prices start going through the roof. Don't miss out on these folks. This is, in my opinion, one of the nicest of the new line and a real collector. Besides the one in my collection, this is the last one of these I have available. Note: Must be at least 18 to purchase knives. Knife shown in photo is the one you will receive. Stag is a natural material and may have slight imperfections that in no way affect quality.
