Colonial America Land Indenture in County of Philadelphia in the Province of Pensiluania (Pennsylvania) Authentic 1735 A.D. Written on thick parchment (animal hide) in black ink With red wax seals. "This Indenture made the Twenty Third Day of March in the year of our Lord One Thousand and seven hundred and thirty five ( 1735) Between Rudolph Christian of Colebrook Dale in the County of Philadelphia in the Province of Pensiluania Yeoman and Anna his Wife of the on part and John George Hredrick of Colebrook Dale aforesaid in the County and Province ? Yeoman of the other part.............in Consideration of the Sum of Thirty Two Pounds..............A Certain Tract or piece of Land situate in Colebrook Dale a foresaid and on a Branch of Rerkeoman(?) in the said County....................a Corner in line of George McCall's Manour.... to a Post by a Corner of other Land of the said Rudolf Christian .........to another post by a Corner of Garrett Miller's Land......containing Sixty Five Acres Part of Four hundred Acres which was part of Eight hundred Acres which was part of Fifteen Hundred Acres which was part of Five Thousand Acres which Quanity of Five Thousand Acres the late, Proprietary William Penn decease'd..............Indenture of Release.... A.D. (1680)...unto William Bacon .....A.D.(1718) granted the same unto Humphrey Morrey and John Budd.. .........A.D.(1720) granted the said Fifteen hundred Acres unto James Steel .....................A.D. John Potts(signed).**************************************************************************************************************************************************************** The correct spelling of the creek is "Perkiomen Creek". Info: John Potts had Potts' Mansion (built 1752) and is a historical site in Pennsylvania . George Washington used to stay with one of the Potts family (but not this John Potts who died in the late 1760s) when he was in the area with his army. Perkiomen Creek is near the town of Perkiomenville, Pa.
