FRESH FROM A WILLIAMSBURG HOME IS THIS WILLIAMSBURG HAND BLOWN JOHN GREENHOW MALLET BOTTLE MADE BY ROYAL LEERDAM. APPEARS TO NEVER HAVE BEEN USED. NO CHIPS CRACKS REPAIRS OR SCRATCHES. MEASURES 8 1/4" HIGH. JOHN GREENHOW WAS A MERCHANT AND HAD A STORE IN COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG IN THE 18TH CENTURY. THERE IS A RECREATION OF HIS STORE IN COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG TODAY. MANY MERCHANTS IMPORTED SPIRITS FROM ENGLAND FOR THEMSELVES AND FOR CUSTOMERS AS WELL. THE SEAL IDENTIFIES THE THE MERCHANT OR THE OWNER. I HAVE SEVERAL OTHER HAND BLOWN BOTTLES WITH SEALS AS WELL FROM THE SAME WILLIAMSBURG HOME PURCHASED IN COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG.
