This is a gorgeous original color etching titled "Alice in Wonderland" by popular British printmaker Elyse Ashe Lord (1900-1971). Pencil signed and numbered 42/100, the image measures 4 1/8 x 3 1/4 inches and the sheet is 7 x 5 3/4 inches. The condition is very good, no holes or tears. The image area is mildly light-struck but nothing serious. There are a couple of very faint spots of foxing in the lower left margin and there is a little bit of staining in the upper right corner of the sheet, all well away from the image. The print is archivally matted and will frame up beautifully. Provenance: Arthur Ackermann & Son, Chicago. Not framed. Buyer pays shipping.
