The Perfect Holiday Quilt ~ Up for bids is a stunning old quilt that is in near MINT condition. I've used it for 2 seasons, but I just have so many, that I need to downsize. It came from Kentucky, is hand-pieced, and hand-stitched. T are near 1,000 pieces The pattern is log cabin, and the back is stitched in the Baptist fan pattern. This is very simply a gorgeous piece of history from simplier days gone by. T is one very small repair on the back that has to be pointed out. It has been nicely done. T are 2 very light stains (small ones too) on the front that will surely come out with Oxy. I never clean my quilts in anything else. It measures 68 x 80, and was made for a full bed, back then. I took lots of pictures to try and capture it's true beauty. The batting is a lighter weight, and it's as soft as can be. T are no frays, rips, blown fabrics or holes. This is a great old quilt, that was carefully done...and it shows. The colors are just too happy!! It weighs about 4 pounds unboxed. My auctions never have a reserve! The low opening price in no way reflects on the quality of this quilt. The pictures pretty much say it all, but I welcome your questions. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Fine Print ~ I do not claim to be an expert in antiques or vintage items. I simply love fine things from years gone by. What I sell is not always in the best condition, and most things are lovingly used. I think you miss out on a lot of the fun stuff, waiting for the "perfect one" to come along. What I will say, is that I describe items to the very best of my ability, and based on what I can see. Please do not hesitate in asking questions. Most of my items are shipped Priority Mail or Parcel Post because the mailman comes right to my front door. I have had some fine Ebay buyers over the years, and I kindly thank you all. Blessings to you & yours... I stand corrected. T are almost 600 pieces , with regards to the squares. Sorry to be misleading.
