VERY RARE: Vietnam Era US Bayonet Marked: Colt's 62316, Hartford, Conn.t The bayonet is marked with (Rampant Colt Logo) Colt's 62316 Hartford, Conn. USA, on the blade. This bayonet is in Unissued, Mint Condition. The Scabbard is also in Unissued Condition. The Olive Green Scabbard with leg tie is marked US M8A1, It has the correct crinkle type OD Green finish on the body of the scabbard as issued. This bayonet has been in long term storage. Look at pictures You won’t be disappointed. The Rarest variation of the US Bayonets, are the Colt Marked Bayonets. See M.H. Coles book: Best of US Military Knives, Bayonets, and Machetes, page #152, example #11 Rock Island Arsenals Records show, there were 3.44 million bayonets made. This Colt variation bayonet was made by Imperial under contract for Colt. A limited run of approximately 30,000 bayonets were made. This is one of the more rare bayonets that were ever manufactured, which are getting much harder to find. This highly desirable Bayonet is being offered to you for your collection, and enjoyment!
