For the collector of rare and unusal machines I offer this Columbia Model N cylinder player . Bought from an estate many years ago and trying to condense my collection . Now , First the information on the machine is as follows : Stamped into the front part of the carriage assembly is Graphophone Type N No. 43236 . On the left side is American Graphophone Co. Washington D.C. . The machine is not complete , What is needed are the following items . Lid, Spring Barrel and spring , reproducer , also one side piece of molding is missing .I do not believe the decal on the cabinet to be original to the machine but a reproduction . If t are any experts on this machine out t that can add their input with the pictures I have supplied it will be past to the bidders of this unique and unusal machine . Also along with the machine is the original horn not pictured , which is a small horn silver in color commonly known as a witches hat type . The bedplate will need to be replated , but considering that this is the only one of these machines I have seen in the last 20 years of purchasing I believe it to be worth the trouble . The Columbia book gives a general description of this early machine . I do encourage questions regarding this machine and although I am limited on my knowledge of these types of machines will do my best to answer . Sorry no buy it now ! Last but not least about this machine is the drop down gate for the cylinder unlike the Edison version of the swinging gate with lock not commonly seen on any of the later models. Buyer to pay shipping and Insurance is required on this purchase . As with anything I sell I do look for the cheapest but safest way to ship to you ! Thanks for Looking and Happy Bidding !
