This is a very interesting & possibly unique collection of World's Columbian Exposition memorabilia, apparantly collected & framed during the period of their issue. I have been told by one of the authorities in the field that the 00000 serial number has not been seen before. Behind the matte-board used in mounting was a period lithograph used for backing along with its period wood back-board & all seems to have been as originally framed with the original "bubble" glass. The coins are uncirculated & displayed to show an obverse and a reverse, one is dated 1892, the second 1893. The U.S.Postal stamped envelope cut squares includes the entire issue: U348 1¢ deep blue, U349 2¢ violet, U350 , 5¢ chocolate & U351 10¢ slate brown, all fine - very-fine. The Walnut Eastlake Frame is in excellent condition with only the inner gilt frame showing some ageing, apparantly due to polishing. A period wire staple is on the reverse for hanging.

The six Tickets are all hinged to the matte-board by very early stamp hinges. All six tickets have been cancelled with two small circular holes. The coins are behind a typical cardboard & glassine coin holder, which I do not know if period. All corners of the tickets & cut squares are sharp. Overall a real showpiece of this important Exposition, one that apparantly has been together since, or shortly after the event. Because of the 00000 serial numbers it's possible that a fair official, or dignitary may have been the original owner.

As this is NOT my area of expertise, I'd appreciate any feedback on this collection.
