The Tone Idol Parallel/Series Combo Speaker Cable I’m often asked to make cables for combo amps that have twinspeakers installed. Most request the wiring harness for a ‘parallel’ wiring layout, but occasionally a ‘series' wiring harness is requested. This got me thinking of ways to make a universal wiring harness which could be used for both parallel and series wiring of the speakers…. I believe I have found the perfect solution for those that would like to experiment with these two wiring methods, or just use it for either. What is it? The Tone Idol Parallel/Series Combo Speaker Cable is a pair of chunky 4 x 1.0mm ² cables fitted with a choice of angled or straight jacks to spade ends which can be used to connect the speakers in your combo in either Parallel or Series. This is achieved using ‘piggyback’ style spade connectors, which provide a versatile method to experiment with different speaker wiring. Designed to give enhanced clarity, deeper bass and provide the maximum transfer of power between your amplifier and speaker.
