This is an antique Bowie knife made for the Texas Sesquicentennial 1836-1986 by Western Cutlery. It states 1 of 15,000, but according to Cutlers Cove it is a misprint and there was only 1,500 made. The case has a couple of nicks and the velvet under the point of the blade has a slight tear. The felt on the bottom of the case is thinning. Since this is considered an antique I will not polish or shine anything for fear of hurting the value. The Knife and case have been wiped down with a micro fiber cloth only. The Knife is in Great Shape! If you check on Google there has not been one of these sold for less than $1,200 and that did not have a case! Most people are asking between $1,800- $2,400. Take advantage of this AWESOME piece of American History! Thank you for looking. NO RESERVE!!
